A festival that gives back the ground.
Blossom is named after a desert wildflower bloom. The least we can do is leave the land better than we found it. So five percent of every ticket goes to environmental work, before anything else is paid.
The green fund so far
$05% of 0 tickets at $222, counted live from the ledger. It grows with every ticket and every later release.
of ticket proceeds, pledged
The pledge
Five percent of the gross proceeds of every ticket sold by the festival, Sprout tickets and later releases alike, is set aside in a dedicated green fund. It is calculated on what you pay, not on what is left after costs, and it is paid out whether or not the festival makes money.
What it funds
- The land we use. Habitat restoration, native wildflower seeding and water protection in the Sonoran Desert around the Southern Arizona site, chosen with local conservation groups once the venue is decided.
- Travel. Verified carbon removal for artist and crew travel, and support for shared transport to the site for fans.
- Waste. Reusable cup and bottle systems, composting and recycling on site, and a no single-use-plastic rule for vendors.
The split between those three is decided by the organiser and published here each year, with the recipients and amounts, so anyone can check where the money went.
How we run lighter
- Leave no trace is written into the code of conduct and enforced at the gate: what comes in goes out.
- Power from the grid or renewables where the venue allows it; generator hours minimised and logged.
- Local first for food, drink and crew, which cuts freight and keeps the money in the region.
- Water refill everywhere, free.
- No printed tickets, no plastic wristbands if we can avoid them; your phone is your pass.
Accountability
The fund total is shown live above, straight from the ticket ledger. Payments out of the fund are announced in the notes with the recipient and the amount. If you run an environmental project near the venue and want to be considered, write to us.
